Stacy Gibbons is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health
Counselor. She currently works at the Utah Center for
Post-Traumatic Growth, where she counsels individuals
who have experienced complex developmental trauma,
shock trauma and dissociative disorders.
Stacy received her Masters degree in Clinical Mental
Health Counseling from Westminster College and
her BS in Community Health and Nutrition from the
University of Utah.
Stacy continues to advocate for trauma awareness
throughout the therapeutic community by offering
workshops and is currently creating a trauma
consultation group for clinicians.
At the end of this training, participants will:
- Identify client RESPONSE: Name and identify
the protective neurological responses and brain
function that impact traumatized clients.
- RESTORE autonomic regulation: Identify process
and implement the use of this process in session to
track and shift neurological response and increase
regulation of the client.
- Use the therapeutic RELATIONSHIP to create
co-regulation aiding in both client response and
restoration.
