WORKSHOP OBJECTIVES:

Participants will be able to:

  1. Understand current trends as well as key concepts and causes surrounding trauma and suicide.
  2. Gain an understanding of the effects of trauma and suicide on individuals, families, and surrounding communities.
  3. Learn strategies to help reduce the impact and effects of trauma and suicide within the family system and larger ecological culture.

PRESENTER:

Danielle Warren, PhD, LPC (WY)

Danielle Warren is a professor in the Counseling Department at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions. She has 10 years of experience as a School Counselor, and 13 as a Licensed Professional Counselor. For the majority of her career, Dr. Warren has worked helping children,

adolescents, and emerging adults in all aspects of mental health. Her passion for helping others to gain the knowledge and resources to better themselves and their future is driven by an upbringing surrounded by trauma within the family system.
