Presenter: Melinda White, PhD, LCSW
Melinda holds a master's degree and a doctorate in social work from the University of Utah. She has worked in private practice, community mental health, and inpatient settings. Her research has focused on borderline personality disorder, adolescent self-harm, and the mother-daughter bond. Deeply passionate about shamanism for over 30 years, she has completed several apprenticeships, including a three-year residential program with the late Michael Harner, PhD, a pioneer in modern shamanic practice. Melinda is a recognized mesa carrier and has earned formal shamanic certifications. She currently teaches shamanic workshops and is enrolled in a certification program in psychedelic-assisted therapy, blending modern healing with ancient wisdom.
Workshop Objectives
Participants will be able to:
Understand universal cosmological principles of core shamanism
Formulate an intention for a shamanic journey
Journey independently for self-reflection and personal growth
Workshop Difficulty
Beginning. No experience required. If, however, you have experiences with creative visualization, mindfulness, or meditation, your experiences will likely be helpful.
