UMHCA 2017 Fall Mini-Conference

UMHCA is pleased to announce our first half-day fall conference, to be held at Westminster Campus! There will be no charge for this community event, and CEs for counselors will be awarded.

Program will consist of: 

Two-Hour CMHC DOPL Ethics Panel Discussion

Members of our DOPL licensing board will answer questions that will be collected in advance and at the time of the panel discussion. Discussion will occur between members and between the panel and audience. Panel members will also talk about their perspective of the ethics of the profession from the perspective of their regulatory role. Two ethics CEs will be awarded for this portion.  

Two Hour Suicide Training

This training will fulfill the State of Utah requirement for mental health therapists to have two-hours in suicide training. Information will include information and discussion around suicide awareness for the clinician and applications for treatment and prevention, as well as ethical and legal protection. Two suicide CEs will be awarded for this portion. Come join us in the same building as Uptown Cheapskates and Freeboard Burritos.

*Non-counselor clinicians are welcome to attend as well although CEs will be specific for counselors (CMHC, ACMHC, etc).
