UMHCA is pleased to announce our annual half-day, fall conference, to be held at Westminster "On the Draw"!
(Please note that this location is not on Westminster proper but down the street –
It is a high-rise structure on the southwest corner of 1300 East and 2100 South in the same structure as Uptown Cheapskate and FreeB!rds restaurant).

Program will consist of: 

11:30 am-12:00 pm Registration and Lunch (pre-ordered brown-bag lunch pick-up)

12:00-2:00 pm - 

DOPL Ethics Panel Discussion (2 Hours Ethics)

Back by popular demand, members of our DOPL licensing board will answer questions that will be collected in advance and at the time of the panel discussion. Discussion will occur between members and between the panel and audience. Panel members will also talk about their perspective of the ethics of the profession from the perspective of their regulatory role. Two ethics CEs will be awarded for this portion.

IPI Panel: Principles of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy (2 Hours)

International Psychotherapy Institute IPI-SLC is the local chapter of the International Psychotherapy Institute (IPI) which provides high-quality training for both seasoned and new psychotherapy practitioners. Trainings are provided by experienced practitioners and include focus on psychodynamic psychotherapy and object-relations theory. This two-hour training will include a lively presentation, case material and audience discussion.

4:30 Closing comments and networking

Attend both 2 hour sessions for a total of 4 continuing education hours.


Parking

Parking will be at Westminster "On The Draw" in the parking structure. NO PARKING PASS is required. Please do not park in "residents only" parking stalls or you may be towed at your expense. Again, please note that this is not at Westminster campus but on the corner of 1300 East and 2100 South in Salt Lake City (in the same structure as Uptown Cheapskate and FreeB!rds restaurant).

Code of Ethics

Although the CMHC licensing board uses American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) Code of ethics, the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) code of ethics will also be referred to during the ethics training. 


Utah Mental Health Counselors Association is Utah's hub for enhancing the profession of mental health counselors. 
UMHCA is a 501(c)6 organization.
