Title: Recovery, A Gay Man’s Perspective

Presenter: Rusty Davis-Clem

Description: Rusty will speak about his participation in 12 step programs since 2004. He has worked in the substance use disorder treatment industry and is aiming to earn his Substance Use Disorder Counselor certification. 

Learning Objectives: 

  • Gain hope & encouragement in the process of recovery, that recovery is achievable and that change within society around LGBTQ issues is within reach. 

  • Gain understanding of the intersections between sexual orientation and substance use disorders. 

  • Understand barriers around obtaining treatment for LGBTQ folks with substance use disorders. 

CEUs have been approved from Rocky Mountain University for our in-service programs. CEUs are free for Guild members & $5 for non‐members, per meeting. If you do not want a CEU certificate, attendance is free to the public but still require that you register.
