.The UVU College of Humanities and Social Sciences, in conjunction with its sponsors and supporters, presents the 2022 UVU Conference on Domestic Violence - Interpersonal - Dating - Intimate Partner. The hybrid conference event will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM. 

The single-day conference — designed for students, social workers, therapists, professionals, families, service providers, and community members — will address the far-reaching impact of domestic violence on individuals, children, families, and the community at large.

Participants may attend the conference virtually or in person. Continuing education units for licensure and re-licensure may be earned at the conference.

Keynote Speaker
Mildred D. Muhammad

Mildred D Muhammad is an award-winning, recognized keynote speaker, international expert speaker for the US Dept of State, certified consultant with the Office on Victims of Crime, CNN contributor, domestic abuse survivor, advocate, author, trainer and educator traveling and speaking on a national and international platform to discuss her life of terror, abuse and heartache, all while promoting domestic violence awareness and prevention.

Cassidy DuHadway

Cassidy DuHadway is the owner and CEO of Purple Sky Counseling. Cassidy is highly skilled in helping humans work through their underlying trauma beliefs, and become their true, authentic self. Trauma and Attachment Specialist and Certified EMDR Trainer, Cassidy is highly sought after for her insight, mastery and ability to help others heal.

This is a hybrid event. Participants may attend the conference virtually or in person. The conference portal will remain open for 2 weeks after the conference. CEUs may be earned through the conference by participating in the sessions and completing a short quiz. CEUs will be distributed after the conference closes.
