WORKSHOP OBJECTIVES:

Dr. Kristal James is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in the State of Utah. She holds certifications as a National Certified Counselor and Approved Clinical Supervisor through National Board for Certified Counselors. Dr. James graduated from the University of Phoenix CACREP accredited ground campus in 2005 and Dr. Kristal James, ICMHC has been teaching students seeking a master's degree in counseling since 2009. Dr. James graduated from the University of the Cumberlands CACREP-accredited doctoral program in 2021. Her area of research interest includes supervision and mentorship relationships. Dr. James provides clinical services to children and adolescents in an online environment and is currently the director of the clinic at Rocky Mountain University Counseling Clinic (RMUCC. Prior to her work in telemental health, she had a private practice, worked at Primary Children's Hospital in their inpatient psychiatric unit, providing in-home care, and did adoption work. She has also worked as an investigator with the State of Utah's Adult Protective Services. She enjoys the experience she gains from her experience academically and clinically and feels like both are valuable.

Participants will be able to:

1. Define imposter phenomenon

2. Recognize phases of imposter phenomenon across career development

3. Understand applicable tools for navigating imposter phenomenon throughout one's career.
