Description

Spending time thinking about the clinical work with clients is an ethical obligation, yet outside of treatment notes and updating treatment plans most clinicians are not able to carve out time to process what is occurring in sessions. This course is a creative and interactive workshop on ethical elements of therapy practices, using creativity in supervision and attending to ethical issues through clinical reflection. Attendees are invited to use art-making as a way to look at clinical issues, countertransference, boundaries, diagnoses, power dynamics, burn out and treatment planning. No prior art experience is necessary. Through art prompts, participants of this workshop will practice the art of supervision and ethical reflection. Art materials recommended: paper, watercolor paper, water color paints, crayons, markers, colored pencils, pencil, pen.
