The NBCC Foundation is hosting its fifth annual Counseling Foundations: Your Path to Career Success, a virtual career fair, on Thursday, April 25, 2024, from 11 am–5 pm EDT.
In an effort to create and share opportunities for counselors that promote career mobility and ensure active engagement in as many communities as possible, the NBCC Foundation proudly hosts an annual virtual career fair. This event aims to connect employers, recent graduates from master’s and doctoral counseling programs, and seasoned counseling professionals nationwide in a virtual setting to explore current and future staffing opportunities. With more than 70,000 National Certified Counselors (NCCs) and partnerships with more than 400 graduate programs, NBCC and the Foundation are well-positioned to connect employers with counselors who are passionate about serving clients and advancing mental well-being.
True to the Foundation’s mission of expanding the mental health workforce and NBCC’s mission of advancing the profession of counseling, this event offers hiring and marketing opportunities for counselors and employers committed to expanding access to mental health services in traditionally underserved communities. Offering this career fair through a virtual modality is intended to allow employers in rural areas and those serving smaller populations to recruit nationally and to offer counselors the opportunity for career mobility by connecting with employers from across the United States.
Among the highly qualified and enthusiastic job seekers attending the career fair will be counseling professionals and alums of the NBCC Foundation fellowship program who have engaged in education and professional development specifically designed to prepare them to work with traditionally underserved communities, military-connected communities, rural communities, clients dealing with substance use disorders, and communities with broad cultural complexities.
Counseling Foundations: Your Path to Career Success offers a unique and affordable way for job seekers and employers from all over the country to connect and create partnerships intended to increase access and promote mental health services across the United States.

As part of that mission, NBCCF administers programs focused on capacity building, the expansion of access to mental health services, and the development of high-quality professional development resources for counselors and counselors-in-training.
