DISCUSSION:  The JED&I meeting discussed the approval of two initiatives and the need for a mentoring program. Juancarlos Santisteban will co-facilitate a workshop on healing spaces with Jasmine in December. The mentoring program will start with a mentor mixer to connect mentors and mentees, avoiding formal matchmaking. Tage Gould's committee (GSEP) will lead the program, focusing on creating a space for organic connections. A mentor website will be developed to profile mentors, allowing mentees to choose based on shared identities. The committee also plans to create a community resources Google Sheet for clinicians working with marginalized groups.

DISCUSSION:  The JEDI Committee meeting covered feedback from Bobbi Deal's presentation on historical trauma, which received a 4.6/5 rating. The committee discussed the success of the fall conference and plans for the spring conference, including four slots for educational sessions and potential processing groups. They also approved a $2,000 budget for a self-care social and considered a collaborative art project and sound bath for the event. Juancarlos Santisteban proposed a brown bag session on empowering Latinx providers for January 15. The committee also reviewed the need for a public resource list. Juancarlos to reach out to Adriana to confirm their availability to present on culturally responsive supervision at the spring conference. (Tentative Schedule for JED&I Track for Spring Conference: 3 Processing group for marginalized clinicians, 1 training) Committee to start planning the self-care social event for the spring. (5:30 pm to 7 pm on May 14th, Sound bath 30 min, Collaborative art project 1 hr) Next Board Meeting, JED&I will submit final proposals for Mentorhip program and Consultation group.  Committee to coordinate and compile the community resource list, will ask about Francesca taking the lead as the community outreach coordinator. Juancarlos is leading the coordination of another Brown Bag, scheduled for Jan. 15, 2026. Will coordinate with EACC.

DISCUSSION:  -Bobbi will send out surveys a week before JED&I meetings to collect ideas and project proposals, she will also send meeting agendas day before the meeting.  -Creating space for processing or consultation. Restructuring our meetings to balance business and have space to process real life events or happenings to identify community needs and give the committee direction for future projects.  -Juancarlos will follow up on Brown Bag presenter. -We would like to create a resource page or bulletin, need to run by the board (issues of UMHCA endorsing specific brands or services is an issue). Add disclaimers? -Juancarlos will be piloting and collaborating with GSEP a JED&I mentorship program.

DISCUSSION POINTS:  By Laws (Went over Bylaws created for the committee for consistency and structure) Positions needing to be filled: -Interest in being Co Chair. -Interest in being Secretary. -Interest in Member Outreach. Spring conference, processing groups feedback.  DOPL Proposal revisions. (Revist this as upcoming project. Need to coordinate a DOPL meeting). Fall conference Multicultrual Track (1-3 workshops to fill, may not get an entire track). Brown Bags (Need to come up with a Flowchart for the process of the Brown Bags, have a rotating position of Brown Bag coordinator to assist presentors in the process with EACC and Exec. Director).

Discussion Points:

*Marginalized Therapist Peer Support/Support Groups looking positive for approval; Board Member has to attend each for feedback (need to get clarification on this). 

*Need to choose a time and space (During conference or Social). Unanimous vote for during conference. 

*3 groups: BIPOC Therapists, LGBTQ Therapists, Therapists with Disabilities

*Soundbath host is interested, Flute player is a maybe. Massage Therapist $200 flat rate. 

*Beverages and Snacks: Dirty Soda Section, Fruits, Cookies, Chips, Muffins. Ask the Board about this process. 

*4 rooms: Main Foyer (Photobooth, snacks, painting, interactive, table for affirmations, networking), Side room 1 (soundbath, yoga mats, meditation), Side room 2: Craft Room, Side 3: Massage therapist

*Marginalized owned businesses donating food and drinks to the social. Or just locally owned.
