Mentorship: What's in a Name?

Course Objectives:

  • Understand the benefits and barriers of mentorship
  • Explore the research-supported roles of mentorship
  • Identify evidence-based practices to effectively implement mentorship

Dr. Kristal James is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in the State of Utah. She holds certifications as a National Certified Counselor, Approved Clinical Supervisor, and Board Certified Telemental Health Provider through National Board for Certified Counselors. Dr. James graduated with her Ph.D. in  Counselor Education and Supervision from the University of Cumberlands’ CACREP accredited program in 2021. Her dissertation explored the use of mentorship in counselor education. 

Rocky Mountain University ofHealth Professions has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider.

Each participant will receive 1hour of continuing education credit.
