COURSE OBJECTIVES 

At the end of this training, you should be able to:

  • Understand the benefits of prioritizing building a therapeutic alliance.
  • Explore the research on feedback informed counseling and the importance of the counselor client relationship regarding client retention and better client outcomes.
  • Identify specific practices to build a therapeutically effective relationship with the client.
Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider. 
Each Participant will receive 2 hours of continuing education credit. 

PRESENTER 
Dr. Kristin Erskine is a licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in the State of Utah. She holds certifications as a National Certified Counselor through the NBCC, and is a Master Addictions Counselor and Substance Abuse Professional through NAADAC. Dr. Erskine graduated with her Ed.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from Argosy University Denver's CACREP accredited program in 2015. Her dissertation explored the experiences and perspectives of ethnic minorities to operationally define sufficient ethnic exposure needed to provide culturally sensitive and effective mental health services.
