The Therapeutic Relationship: Where does it come from? What is it? And how you can use it.
The purpose of this course is to empower therapists in their therapeutic relationships.
There are no non-traditional, alternative approaches used durong this training. There are no risks for participants. Emperical research of recent decades, historical contexts and theoretical contexts were retreived from academic sources. One source for this training include the three APA's taskforce of 2000, 2011 and 2018's publications. As noted by Norcross 2011 (from the APA's 2nd taskforce) about the therapeutic relationship; therapists are not receiving the empirical research related to this topic at a desired rate. Even though it impacts therapy outcome more then the therapeutic modality implemened. Therapists are deeply impacted by their work by clients both personally and professionally (Hatcher et al. 2015). The quality of therapeutic relationship significantly impacts therapists' experience of burnout (Zarzycke et al., 2021). Therapists will be given the most recent empirical research included these listed above.

Therapeutic Relationship impacts therapy outcome more then modality chosen by therapists (Norcross, 2011). The wealth of research related to therapeutic relationships is not disseminated to therapists at a desired pace (Norcross & Lambert, 2018). It is therefore very probable that many practicing therapists have not heard important information that might validate their live experience and consequently this may make them feel less alone and misundertood in their role. #@#_WA_-_CURSOR_-_POINT_#@#
