Feel less disconnected and exhausted,
and grow your capacity to help others.
Dear James, As a clinician, you are constantly tasked with being emotionally available for clients who are deeply affected by trauma. The weight of this responsibility, coupled with the complexities of relational trauma, can leave both you and your clients feeling overwhelmed.

While you strive to help your clients overcome feelings of unworthiness, loneliness, and unlovability, the emotional toll on you can lead to burnout. This dual challenge—caring for clients while managing your own emotional well-being—can make it difficult to maintain the balance necessary for effective therapy.
Kicking off each morning
Dr. Frank Anderson will guide you through techniques of Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy, which uniquely addresses and overcomes the complexities of relational trauma. You’ll learn how to help your clients unload distorted thoughts and beliefs, release painful feelings, and heal the deep wounds carried by different parts of themselves. Frank's approach masterfully integrates the body, supporting the movement and discharge of physical sensations, which is crucial in the healing process.
Dynamic afternoon sessions
Dr. Kristin Neff will shift the focus to you, the therapist. Drawing from decades of research and evidence-based techniques, Dr. Neff will explore mindful self-compassion strategies that can protect you from burnout. She will introduce practical techniques applying them directly to your work as a therapist, clinician, and caretaker. This combination of trauma-focused client care and therapist self-care makes this workshop an essential experience for sustaining both your professional effectiveness and personal well-being.
