Participants will be able to:

  1. Gain an understanding of the ethics of clinical documentation related to billing practice
  2. Gain an understanding of the ethics of billing practices
  3. Write a clinical note that meets basic documentation and billing criteria

Presenter: Kristin Erskine, EdD, CMHC, NCC, MAC, SAP

Dr. Kristin Erskine has extensive experience and education in substance abuse treatment and trauma treatment and has worked as a clinical mental health counselor for over 20 years. She has taught counseling in higher education for 15 years. Dr. Erskine is a Clinical Mental Health Counselor, a

National Certified Counselor,

a Master Addictions Counselor, and a Substance Abuse Professional. Her areas of specialty in teaching are addictions, ethics, mindfulness and meditation, and spirituality in the counseling session. Dr. Erskine currently has a limited private practice where she provides substance abuse assessments for people who have occupations with Department of Transportation oversight. She also provides Psychological First Aid for employee assistance programs in Utah.
