Brief Action Planning: Help Your Clients Facilitate and Self-manage Healthy Behavior Change

Do you find that when clients or patients are ready to make a change in their lives, they get stuck or discouraged when it comes to actually making that change? Or do they attempt only to give up soon after? Do you have clients or patients who intend to make a behavior change but are unsure of what to do or how to do it? Brief Action Planning (BAP) is a highly structured, client-centered, self-management support technique designed with quick goal achievement in mind. It is grounded in the principles and practices of Motivational Interviewing (Ml) and the psychology of behavior change and is designed to increase an individual's confidence in their ability to make and sustain change and, in turn, increase their interest in attempting more change! In this webinar, you will learn how to implement the BAP technique, along with a variation of this technique called BAP-MI, through lectures, video demonstrations, and practice activities so that you can leave with a new skill helpful for anyone getting ready or ready to make a change.
