The Art of Working with Children and Adolescents

Caisa Pope, EdS, LPCC, NCC, NCSC

Caisa Pope is a counseling instructor at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions. She is a certified and licensed school and mental health counselor in multiple states. She has worked with child and adolescent clients in both school and private practice settings. Her most recent school setting was a Title I elementary school in Salt Lake City School District.

WORKSHOP OBJECTIVES

Participants will be able to:

  • Identify stages of child/adolescent cognitive and emotional levels development
  • Identify and practice some projective testing techniques to use with children/adolescents
  • Identify and practice techniques for emotional identification and regulation when working with children/adolescents
