Understanding DCFS: Policy, Practice, and Impact

Feel more confident in reporting concerns to DCFS.


Understand what happens generally in the Child Protective Services investigation as well as ongoing DCFS services. 


Gregg Julian, CSW


Gregg Julian works for DCFS and is currently the Salt Lake Valley Region Training Manager. He has worked for 15 years at DCFS. He has experience as a CPS, in-home, and foster care caseworker in Tooele County. He was a trainer for the Salt Lake Valley Region for 3 years. He also supervised a foster care team for 5 years in the Oquirrh Office. He graduated with a master’s degree in Social Work in 2017 from the University of Utah. Gregg enjoys scrapbooking, playing video games, and spending time with his family which includes a 12 year old son and 9 year old daughter. 

This will be a Virtual continuing education via ZOOM

When?

We hold our Virtual Lunch and Learns on the 2nd Wednesday of each month. This event will be on Wednesday, February 11th, 2026 from 12 PM to 1 PM.
